The COFFEE BEAN Project
I really like breakfast. So does my man Scott. It’s probably our favourite meal of the day. And it just so happens that places which cook/fry/create really delicious breakfasts are some of our most frequented spots in the community. When the vivacious, talented couple Barb and Angelo took over Caledon’s Coffee Bean in 2011, their cheesy, bacon-y, addictive loaded home-fries became a daily habit (yes, trouble).
They came to me over the years for a variety of design projects – branding, menus… and taste testing. Always taste testing. I painted their entire outdoor sinage set-up inside my house – all 40 linear feet of it. Barb and Angelo have since sold the original Coffee Bean, but you can still visit them and enjoy some seriously enormous portions of home-cooked breakfast favourites just outside of Orangeville at the more appropriately named Barb’s Country Kitchen. Do it!
(Get the Banana Bread French Toast. For real.)
